Online AP Tutors for UAE Students
Subject-by-subject Advanced Placement tutoring for students at American-curriculum schools across the UAE. Lessons target the exam as College Board actually marks it, not a general reading of the topic.
From AED 220 per lesson
- One tutor per subject, not a generalist across all of them
- Free-response practice marked against College Board rubrics
- Schedules built backwards from the May exam window
- Support for students self-studying a subject their school does not offer
What AP preparation involves
An AP exam is scored from 1 to 5, and the difference between a 3 and a 5 is rarely the amount a student knows. It is whether they can produce, under time pressure, the specific form of answer the rubric rewards — a justified conclusion in Biology, a correctly cited unit and error estimate in Physics, an argument with sourced evidence in History.
That makes past papers the centre of the work rather than an afterthought. Students write real free-response questions, and those get marked against the actual scoring guidelines, so the feedback is about where points were available and missed rather than a general impression of the answer.
Subjects we tutor most often
These are the subjects UAE students most often ask for. If yours is not here, ask — we will say whether we have a genuine specialist rather than assigning someone adjacent.
Calculus AB and BC
Limits, derivatives, integrals and series, with the free-response conventions that cost marks when ignored.
Physics 1, 2 and C
Algebra-based and calculus-based, including the experimental design questions students most often lose points on.
Chemistry
Equilibrium, thermodynamics, kinetics and the quantitative reasoning that runs through all of them.
Biology
Systems-level reasoning and data interpretation, which carry more weight than recall in the current exam.
Computer Science A
Java fundamentals, object-oriented design and the free-response code-writing questions.
Statistics, Economics and English
Where the marks turn on precise language: interpretation in Statistics, definitions in Economics, evidence in English.
How an AP year is usually planned
Autumn
Keep pace with the school course and fix gaps early, while there is still room to do it without pressure.
Winter
Begin timed free-response practice. This is the point at which technique problems become visible.
Early spring
Full past papers under exam conditions, reviewed against the scoring guidelines.
April
Targeted revision on the categories still losing marks, plus exam-day logistics and digital format familiarity.
Self-studying a subject your school does not offer
Some students take an AP their school does not teach, usually to strengthen an application. This works, but it needs a real schedule rather than good intentions: a defined syllabus, weekly checkpoints and papers marked by someone who knows the rubric. We build that plan explicitly.
AP alongside the rest of a UAE application
For students applying to the United States, AP scores sit next to a transcript, an SAT or ACT score and, for many, a TOEFL or IELTS result. The practical question is sequencing: what has to be finished by when, and which of these can safely overlap.
AP exams fall in a fixed window each May, which makes them the least moveable item on the list. Most students therefore finish admissions testing before that window and treat the spring as an AP-only period, rather than trying to prepare for two very different exams in the same weeks.
Frequently asked questions
The questions UAE students and parents ask us most often about this program.
Related programs
Other preparation tracks students often combine with this one.
AP Calculus
Both Calculus courses, with the free-response conventions that cost marks when a correct answer is presented the wrong way.
AP Physics
All the AP Physics courses, algebra-based and calculus-based, with the experimental design and reasoning questions that decide the top scores.
AP Chemistry
One of the more demanding AP subjects, where marks turn on explaining particle-level reasoning rather than producing a number.
AP Biology
A course that rewards reasoning from data far more than recall. Students who revise by memorising find that the exam does not ask what they prepared for.
SAT Preparation
One-to-one SAT tutoring built around the digital, adaptive test students actually sit in Bluebook. Lessons are online, scheduled around school and UAE time, and planned backwards from your test date.
IB Diploma Tutoring
Subject-specialist tutoring for IB Diploma students, at Higher and Standard Level, covering taught content, internal assessments and the core. Delivered online and planned around your school’s deadlines.
ACT Preparation
ACT tutoring for students applying to universities in the United States. The ACT rewards pace more than any other admissions test, which is why timing work starts early rather than at the end.
TOEFL Preparation
TOEFL tutoring for students applying to universities that ask for it, usually in the United States. The test rewards integrated tasks and tight timing more than vocabulary, and lessons are built accordingly.
