What YOS is and who sits it from the UAE
YOS is the route by which international students are admitted to Turkish universities. It is taken by families in the UAE for two main reasons: Turkish nationals educated abroad who want to study in Turkey, and international families attracted by Turkish universities’ English-taught programmes and comparatively low fees.
The content is unusual among admissions tests in being almost entirely mathematics and abstract reasoning, with minimal verbal load. That makes it relatively accessible to students whose strongest language is not English or Turkish, and it makes preparation straightforward to structure, because the syllabus is concrete.
