How it is examined
The components, what each one is worth, and what it asks for. Planning revision without this in front of you is how students spend weeks on the part that carries the fewest marks.

Where marks are actually lost
Series is where BC students lose most of their marks, because convergence tests are a decision procedure rather than a technique. Knowing how to run the ratio test is easy; knowing which of seven tests to reach for, and being able to justify the choice in writing, is the examined skill. Practising test selection separately from test execution is the fastest improvement available here.
The second loss is the free-response writing, which BC shares with AB and which students consistently under-prepare. Marks are awarded for setting up an integral correctly, for stating the units, for justifying an answer with a theorem by name. A correct final number with no supporting line collects a fraction of the points, and that habit is worth more than any additional content.
The date is not yours to move
AP exams sit in a fixed May window set by the College Board, so preparation has a hard deadline a private schedule cannot shift. If your school does not teach this course, you are buying a full year of teaching rather than top-up lessons, and starting in February is a materially different proposition from starting in September.
