Credit bundles
Both tools run on prepaid credits. One grader credit marks one piece of coursework; AI tutor credits are used as you work through questions.

What each one does
AI tutor
Works through a question with you rather than handing over the answer — asks what you tried, points at the step that went wrong, and lets you finish it yourself. Useful at eleven at night when a tutor is not available.
Coursework grader
Marks an IB internal assessment or extended essay against the published assessment criteria and says which strands are underserved. One credit marks one piece of work.
What they are not
The grader does not write anything, and the AI tutor will not simply produce a finished answer. That is a deliberate limit, not a missing feature: work a student cannot defend is worth less than a weaker piece they can, and the IB treats authenticity seriously enough that the alternative would be actively harmful.
Neither tool replaces a tutor either. What they do well is the part tutoring is worst at covering — the moment between lessons when a student is stuck on one question, or has a draft and no way to know whether it is close. What a tutor does that they cannot is decide what to work on next.
Credits, not a subscription
Both tools run on prepaid credit bundles. Credits are used as you use the tool, nothing renews on a date, and there is no plan to remember to cancel.
