Where marks are actually lost
The assessment structure is identical to any Language A — guided analysis, comparative essay, Individual Oral and, at HL, the essay — so the technique transfers. What does not transfer is the reading: the works in translation and the Turkish literary tradition both have to be known well enough to write comparatively about them under time.
The practical problem in the UAE is usually access rather than ability. A student may be the only one in their year taking it, with a teacher covering several Language A courses at once, which leaves the Individual Oral and the HL essay under-supervised precisely where supervision matters most. That is the gap a specialist tutor fills.
The internal assessment
The IA is marked by your teacher against published criteria and moderated by the IB. We supervise it — we do not write it, because Turkish A: Literature coursework a student cannot defend is worth less than a weaker piece they can.
