Why PTE is the cheapest of the three to prepare for
PTE is scored by software, which means practice can be scored by software too. A candidate can record a Speaking response, get a score back, see why it lost marks, and do it again — without a tutor in the loop. That is a genuine structural advantage over IELTS and TOEFL, where the equivalent feedback requires a human reader, and it is why the question bank and practice tests do proportionally more of the work here and the lesson count is usually lower.
Where lessons still earn their price is the integrated tasks and the fluency habits the engine penalises. Hesitation, self-correction and unnatural pausing cost marks that a human listener would forgive entirely, and most candidates cannot hear their own version of this. Four to eight lessons diagnosing and retraining that, alongside self-scored practice, is the usual shape of a PTE purchase.
Confirm PTE is accepted before you prepare
PTE Academic is widely accepted but not universally, and acceptance for a visa or a professional registration is a separate question from acceptance by a university. Get the requirement in writing before choosing this test over IELTS or TOEFL.
One-to-one lesson packages
Every lesson is 90 minutes with the same tutor. The per-lesson rate falls as the package grows, and the single lesson exists so you can meet a tutor before committing to a block.

A live online cohort following a fixed syllabus and timetable, at a fraction of the one-to-one cost. 45 taught hours. It suits a student who is on track and needs structure, rather than one with specific gaps.
