Why LSAT preparation runs long
The LSAT measures a reasoning skill rather than a body of knowledge, and reasoning skills improve on a slower curve than content does. A candidate can learn the periodic table in a week; nobody learns to spot a flawed assumption reliably in a week. Score gains on this test come from many repetitions of the same argument structures until recognition becomes automatic, and that is a months-long process for almost everyone.
What that means for the budget is counter-intuitive. The lessons are not the expensive part — a ten or twenty-lesson package spread across three to six months is usually the whole tutoring spend. The expensive part is your time, and the way to protect it is to have the technique right early rather than drilling a flawed approach for four months and correcting it at the end.
Testing is in person from August 2026
The LSAT is no longer remotely proctored by default; from August 2026 almost every candidate tests in person. That changes what to practise on — screen-reading habits built for a home sitting do not transfer — and it adds a test-centre logistics question for candidates in the UAE that should be settled before you plan a date.
One-to-one lesson packages
Every lesson is 90 minutes with the same tutor. The per-lesson rate falls as the package grows, and the single lesson exists so you can meet a tutor before committing to a block.
