Half a band, or two bands?
A candidate sitting at 6.5 who needs 7.0 in every section usually has one section holding them back, and it is Writing about three times out of four. That is a small, precise purchase: five to ten lessons spent producing Task 2 essays and having them marked against the public band descriptors, which is the one thing a candidate genuinely cannot do for themselves. Buying twenty lessons for this is buying general English practice at a tutoring rate.
A candidate who needs to move two bands is in a different situation: that is language acquisition, not exam technique, and it takes months rather than weeks. For that student the group course is usually better value than one-to-one, because what they need is volume of structured input, and forty-five taught hours of it costs far less as a cohort.
Check which IELTS your destination accepts
Academic, General Training, IELTS for UKVI and the Life Skills tests are not interchangeable, and a university, an employer and a visa authority may each require a different one. Confirm the exact test and the exact minimum — including any per-section minimum — in writing before you book anything.
One-to-one lesson packages
Every lesson is 90 minutes with the same tutor. The per-lesson rate falls as the package grows, and the single lesson exists so you can meet a tutor before committing to a block.

Packages do not expire on a fixed date; they are used at the pace you and the tutor set. Unused lessons are refundable under the terms on the refund policy page.
Group course
A live online cohort following a fixed syllabus and timetable, at a fraction of the one-to-one cost. 45 taught hours. It suits a student who is on track and needs structure, rather than one with specific gaps.

Cohorts run to a published timetable and open on set dates, so the start is not chosen by you the way a private schedule is. Ask us when the next one begins before you buy.
Study on your own
Neither of these needs a lesson booked alongside it. They are bought and used on their own, and plenty of students only ever buy these.
